Plant at least one native tree and create a symbiotic relationship with it. Can you help at least ten friends to do the same thing? One hundred? Can you create a new forest of friends and a new fully biodiverse forest?
Why? Because the landmass of the earth used to be 75% trees and now it is only just over 20%. Trees are key in producing healthy soil and food as well as clean water and air. Of course, we also need to create sites for the tree-houses of the future!
I linked up with the Sacramento Tree Foundation who connected me to a project in Woodland planting trees (on the morning of Saturday, February 9) next to an off-ramp and highway overpass. Because we were so close to speeding cars — not really that close — we had to wear hardhats and reflective vests. My Oracle, Robin Hill, joined me. There were about twenty of us in total. Next for mission #8, I’m going to plant an apple tree in my front yard.
Here I am with Robin!
