With friends, learn a new skill from an elder in your community that you can then put in service of nature for at least four hours.
Why? Because healthy communities are linked across all generations and all kingdoms of nature and heroes understand this and work to strengthen those links.
With a little helpful guidance from Harald Hoven (you have to get down low to where the stems meet the soil to distinguish between plant and weed), I did two hours of weeding in the cilantro bed at the Rudolf Steiner College garden; some of the weeds were stinging nettle — ouch! This is only a partial fulfillment of the mission. I need to do more and bring some friends.
